Telhio is growing! We are looking for a full-time Contact Center Service Agent to join our team.  Hours for this position will be M-F 11am-8pm or 10am-7pm and at least two Saturdays a month 9am-2pm.

The Contact Center Agent is the "Voice" of Telhio Credit Union; representing the Telhio image during all interactions with members and potential members. They create a welcoming and friendly environment for members as soon as contact is initiated, whether over the phone or online; creating a "you own it" environment. They process a variety of personal and business financial transactions, including problem solving, and opening and closing accounts for members. In addition, they inform members about other Telhio products and services from which they could benefit.

Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or goes to school in Franklin County or any surrounding county.

Duties:

  • Answers all phone calls in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Communicates accurately and effectively with members via the telephone Responsible for communicating effectively and accurately when working with a member through any electronic form of communication, which can include email, web chat, blog and other forms of social networking pursuant to corporate policy
  • Opens, closes, and performs maintenance on all types of depository accounts, including Certificates, Certificate renewals, Share Drafts, Trusts, etc Discusses, determines, and assesses the member's needs, with a strong emphasis on cross-selling services
  • Sells and cross-sells all savings and/or loan products and services
  • Meets departmental and individual goals and objectives as assigned by management
  • Ensures proper documents are completed for each new account type opened
  • Completes stop payment requests and assist with direct deposit and payroll inquiries
  • Processes check orders and written requests for address changes
  • Processes VISA payments, provide balances and answers to basic billing questions
  • Provides account and loan balances and payoffs, completes transfers and loan payment.
  • Determines and processes refund of fees to predetermined levels.
  • Processes check copy and research requests to the Operations Dept. via CRM
  • Quotes automobile book values Prints and faxes account statements to Members as requested Assists Members with debit card, ATM card and VISA issues
  • Performs to established departmental standards Keeps informed on all policy and/or procedural changes
  • Responsible for compliance with all required regulations and polices, especially with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures and regulations
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or required to ensure member service standards are met Individual in this position may be pulled to work in another department / branch and perform other duties at anytime and as business needs require.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in sales in a goal environment is required. Cash handling and banking experience preferred. Candidate should be professional and have effective communication skills (oral and written), strong organizational skills to provide a high level of accuracy on all transactions. Must be able to work Saturdays, on a rotating basis, generally 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Candidate should also have team oriented attitude and professionalism at all times. Strong computer/PC skills, ability to operate standard office machines needed to perform the job, such as computer terminal, calculator/adding machine, copier, and fax machine. Must successfully complete the Telhio training course. Notary Public designation preferred. Internet proficiency. Service focus and multitasking skills. High School graduate or G.E.D. Telhio applicants must be able to pass a background check including: Credit, Drug Screen, Bondability, & Criminal Background.
